What This Means for You

Your Accounts Continue to Work as They Do Today

There is nothing you need to do right now. Your checks, debit card, online banking, automatic payments, and direct deposits remain unchanged.

Your Deposits Will Remain Federally Insured

Once the merger is complete, deposit coverage will transition from FDIC to NCUA—both federal insurance programs with the same coverage limits of up to $250,000 per depositor. Coverage will convert to NCUA automatically and seamlessly at closing.

Your Marine Bank Team Isn’t Going Anywhere

After closing, you’ll continue working with the same local employees and banking centers you trust today. ELGA CU is committed to keeping Marine Bank’s people and relationships in place.

Questions and Answers: Account Conversion

--

When will the account conversion take place?

Account conversion is currently planned for August 1, 2026. While access to some services may transition at different intervals leading up to and through the account conversion, there should be no impact to your ability to use your account up to and through conversion.

Will my account number or account names change with account conversion?

You’ll receive more information on any account changes as we get closer to account conversion, no later than 30 days prior to the conversion date.

Will I need to update my ACH (Automated Clearing House) transactions?

Following account conversion, you will need to contact any business that you provided your account information to for ACH payments or deposits and provide your updated routing number: 272479935. We’ll provide you with more information as we get closer to account conversion.

Will fees change?

You can find a copy of our service charges below. While you may notice different terminology and intervals at which fees may be charged, it is our goal to keep total fee amounts the same or less than what was historically charged.

What is ELGA CU's routing and transit number?

While Marine checks will be accepted and processed as normal until account conversion, you will be provided with new checks prior to or following account conversion.

Will my loan(s) remain the same following account conversion?
