About Us
Founded in 2020, the ELGA Credit Union Foundation for Impact is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public foundation dedicated to helping people and changing lives through philanthropy, financial education, and support for entrepreneurial startups.
Unlike traditional foundations that primarily provide grant funding, the ELGA Foundation also raises money and awareness to assist its nonprofit partners. Additionally, it offers financial education programs in the community to help individuals make informed financial choices.
Endowment Campaign
In 2022, the ELGA Credit Union Foundation for Impact established an endowment fund. Thanks to the generosity of ELGA Credit Union, its members, associates, and community donors, the Foundation’s vision and mission will continue for generations.
Financially Lit
Financially Lit is a free resource offered by the ELGA Credit Union Foundation for Impact. We provide financial education and tools designed to help individuals achieve their goals and dreams. Alongside community education, we offer a variety of additional resources, including blogs, podcasts, quizzes, and calculators.
Victim Compassion Fund
The ELGA Credit Union Foundation for Impact established the Victim Compassion Fund in partnership with the Grand Blanc Township Police Department, Grand Blanc Township, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints following theĀ September 28Ā tragedy in Grand Blanc, Michigan, to provide direct support to victims and their families. The Foundation manages community donations and grant requests to offer compassionate relief, reflecting our mission to uplift and protect our community while providing hope, comfort, and support to those who need it most.
