Overdraft Service Charges

We know our members see the benefit in being able to utilize overdraft services. Overdraft services can be used to pay bills, avoid late payments and cover everyday purchases made with a debit card.

To support our members, we want to make this service even more affordable. ELGA Credit Union will be reducing the Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) and Courtesy Pay service charges from $25 to $15 effective January 3, 2022.

How it Works:
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction. Overdraft transactions may be paid at our discretion based on your account history, deposits made, and transaction amount.

What's Covered:
Checks and other transactions made using your account number, automatic bill payments, ATM transactions and everyday debit card purchases.

What it Costs:
There is a $15 Non-Sufficient Funds or Courtesy Pay Service Charge per item that overdraws your account balance.
