Weāre excited to have you with us now that COPOCO Credit Union and ELGA Credit Union have officially come together as one organization. Our goal throughout the merger has been to make your experience smooth, clear, and stressāfree.
This page brings together everything you need to know ā what has changed, what actions (if any) you may need to take, and how weāre continuing to support you as part of the ELGA Credit Union family.
Enroll in Digital Banking
All members (primary and joint) are able to enroll in ELGA CU Digital Banking with their own credentials. You will need the following info before you can enroll in digital banking: Your new ELGA CU account number (membership ID) or ELGA CU debit card, and a valid email address on file. Enroll in the app or online today!
Important Credit Card Information
COPOCO credit cards areĀ not available within ELGA Credit Union Digital Banking, but you can still manage your card, make payments, and access your statements online.
What’s Happening
COPOCO Community Credit Union officially merged with ELGA Credit Union on August 1, 2025. The next important milestone is the system conversion on March 2, 2026. Learn more by reading our full Merger Guide
Things To Do March 2nd
- Activate your new ELGA Debit Card.
- Update your routing number: 272479935.
- Verify updated account number.
- Download ELGA CU’s app and enroll in Digital Banking.
- Enroll in Bill Pay and create payees.
COPOCO Credit Cards Are Not Changing
COPOCO Credit Cards will not be in ELGA CU Digital Banking on March 2. More information about how to view transactions, make payments, access statements, and more coming soon.
ELGA CU Digital Banking Services
Available Monday March 2nd
All members (primary and joint) will be able to enroll in ELGA CU Digital Banking with their own credentials. You will need the following info before you can enroll in digital banking:
- Your new ELGA CU account number (membership ID) or ELGA CU debit card.
- A valid email address on file

Transaction History
Your transaction history from COPOCO Online and Mobile Banking willĀ notĀ be visible in ELGA CUās Digital Banking.To help ease this transition, we will be mailing printed February statements to all former COPOCO Credit Union members.

Bill Pay
As you move to ELGA CU Digital Banking, there are some Bill Pay changes you may need to be aware of. Your payees and payment history will not transfer. Please save anything you need before February 27. You can enroll in ELGA CU Bill Pay and set up new payees starting March 2. Payments scheduled to process after February 27 will not carry over. Any payments due after that date will need to be rescheduled in ELGA Bill Pay once you enroll.

What does the merger mean for members of both credit unions?
The merger means that members from both COPOCO Credit Union and ELGA Credit Union will have access to an expanded range of services, better technology, and improved financial products. Both teams are committed to ensuring that this transition enhances service quality and member experience.
What will happen to the COPOCO Credit Union branding?
As part of the merger, COPOCO Credit Union will transition to ELGA Credit Union branding. This change is aimed at strengthening the overall brand and ensuring consistency in member experience.
How can I be sure my funds are safe during this transition?
Your funds are safe, as both COPOCO Credit Union and ELGA Credit Union are federally insured institutions. The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) provides insurance on your deposits, which ensures the safety and security of your money throughout the merger process.
Will my account number or account names change with the account conversion?
- For 7-digit account numbers that already start with an ā8,ā no changes will be made.
- For 5-digit account numbers, a leading ā81ā will be added (e.g., 12345 ā 8112345).
- For all other account numbers, ā81ā and additional leading zeros will be added as needed to ensure a unique account number of 7 digits or more (e.g., 123 ā 8100123).
You will need this account number to enroll in ELGA CU Digital Banking and to utilize the EZ Access Line. If you are having trouble finding your new account number, please reach out and weāll be happy to help (810) 715-3542.
What additional services will I gain access to after the merger?
Post-merger, COPOCO CU members can look forward to enhanced services, including expanded loan options, more competitive rates, and improved digital banking features. Additionally, the combined resources of both institutions will lead to new member benefits and offerings.
Will there be any changes to my branch services or locations?
There may be changes to branch services and locations as we integrate our systems and resources for optimal member support. You can find a list of all branch locations above.
Is there a plan for member engagement during the merger?
Yes, communication is key throughout this process. We will send regular updates via email, and maintain dedicated sections on the COPOCO CU and ELGA CU websites to keep members engaged and informed about the merger progress and its impacts.
Will my COPOCO checks still work, or do I need to order new ones?
You can continue to use your current check stock without interruption. When you need to replenish your checks, you will need to order your first set of ELGA CU checks by visiting your local branch or calling the call center at (810) 715-3542.
When will digital/mobile access be available?
- Friday, February 27 ā COPOCO Online & Mobile Banking will be view only with limited functionality. COPOCO Online & Mobile Banking will no longer be available after 6 p.m.
- Monday, March 2 ā Download the ELGA Credit Union digital banking app and enroll.
