Focus Checking

Focus Checking is designed to help you manage your checking account and take control of your finances.

• $10 monthly service charge
• $50 minimum balance requirement

• Track your finances using ELGA Credit Union’s Online and Mobile Banking with Alerts
• Earn Relationship Reward points!

After 12 months of positive banking history, you may be eligible to upgrade to a Basic or Kasasa Checking account.  The criteria to upgrade includes:

• Maintain Focus Checking account for one year
• No more than 6 Non-Sufficient Funds in the last 180 days
• No more than 2 Non-Sufficient Funds in the last 90 days
• Complete the CheckRight online financial education course provided through GreenPath Financial Wellness.  Please sign up for a Learning Lab+ account  to access CheckRight.  Once you have logged in search CheckRight in the course catalog to find the CheckRight course.

• By the end of the course, you’ll:
  • See how using your mobile banking app can make it much easier to keep track of your account activity.
  • See what happens when you use your credit card, debit card or ATM card in different situations.
  • Minimize the chance of an overdraft and decide which option makes sense for you when an overdraft does happen.
  • Learn why Checksystems is important and what steps you can take to clear up your name if it’s preventing you from opening an account
• Estimated time to complete:  25 minutes
• Once you have finished the CheckRight course, please show us your completion certificate at any ELGA Credit Union location. Access the Learning Lab+ and CheckRight HERE .

Once you have completed the required criteria we invite you to visit us at any branch to open up a Basic or Kasasa Checking account.
