Lending Center Representative

Position Summary

To assist members and potential members with their loan requests; explains services, and resolve member issues.

Assists members and potential members with obtaining a loan; answers questions about products and services and resolves problems what are within their authority to resolve; refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

1.

To meet established expectations of ELGA's Core Factors including but not limited to Accountability, Attitude, Communication, Competence, Continuous Improvement & Innovation and Relationship Building.

2.

To provide accurate, courteous, friendly, timely, and professional phone service to all members, potential members and associates. Answering telephone immediately and responding to correspondence within same day.

3.

To do a complete in-depth interview and put together comprehensive and high quality loan files that include accurate and detailed information and notes that assist the underwriter in making sound and timely loan decisions.

4.

Process members' loan requests using TIPS steps and putting together a loan package in the best financial interest of the member.

5.

To achieve 100% of your daily/weekly/monthly and annual sales goals including but not limited to protecting at least 10% of loans with MRC, 50% of loans with GAP and 60% of loans with CL/CD, 10% of loan steals and 10% of credit card limits generated from loan volume.

6.

To have complete accuracy with all transactions and member requests to allow you to have no member service or posting errors. To analyze errors in written format on the rare occasion a mistake is made.

Interpersonal Skills

Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

 

Other Skills

Outgoing; Motivated; Must cross sell products and services comfortably over the telephone; Good listening and telephone skills; able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard; able to make decisions with minimum information. Must have good problem solving skills.

 

Education Requirements

A high school education or GED.

One year to three years of similar or related experience.
